Breakfast
The hostel offers a room only service. However, if you bring your own breakfast you can eat it in the common room and store your food in the fridge.
If you fancy, you can also book a buffet breakfast in Hotel Domomea at 47 Via Vittorio Veneto or in the panoramic Blau Skybar in Hotel Catalunya at 22 Via Catalogna. Both are 400m away and easily reached on foot. The cost of breakfast is € 15,00 per person.
Meals
At the hostel there is a fridge, two kettles, a microwave, a vending machine with hot and cold drinks and snacks and also disposable plates, cups and cutlery.
Remember it is not a full kitchen. We do not have a stove, but we do have a microwave which you can use to heat up or cook meals. There is also space to store your food here.
Reception
Our 24-hour reception with multilingual staff is at Hotel Domomea, 400 metres from the hostel and easy to reach on foot:
- turn left out of the hostel on Via Vittorio Emanuele II. Head towards the old town. After about 50 metres at the first junction, turn left into Via Vittorio Veneto;
- Go along Via Vittorio Veneto for another 300 netres. Hotel Domomea is at number 47.
Our staff are always ready to welcome you and help with anything you need.
Check-in and check-out
The rooms are ready from 15.00. Before getting to the hostel remember to check in at Hotel Domomea. At check-i you will need to show a valid passort or EU identity card and pay a € 5,00 cash deposit for each key card which will allow you to access the communal area and your room or dormitory. Only registered guests can access these areas. You will also be given a key for your locker, which is in your room or dormitory.
Give back the keys when you check out at Hotel Domomea before 11am on your day of departure. If you need to leave your bags while you enjoy your last day in Alghero, we also have free luggage storage at the hotel
Organisation of the dormitories
In the case of a group booking we will do our best to put you all in the same dormitory. However this is not always possible, especially at peak holiday times.
By law, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian and cannot stay in the dormitories, unless part of a group booking.
Payment and cancellation terms and conditions
Normally the full cost of the stay (including 10% VAT) must be paid at check-in (unless stated differently in your room rate).
There is a € 5,00 deposit for each key card. This will be given back at check-out when you return your key card.
At check-out you will be asked to give back both the key card and the locker key.
City tax is not included in the price and must be paid at check-in:
- € 1,00 per person per night from 1st May to 30th September
- € 0,50 per person per night from 1st October to 30th April
Our bookings can be cancelled up to 72 hours before the date of arrival and get a full refund, unless stated differently at time of booking. If you cancel less than 72 hours before the date of arrival, you will be charged for the first night. The same penalty will be applied in case of a no show.
Services
- Lift and key card for security and to access the hostel. You will be given your keys at check-in.
- Free WI-Fi in all parts of the hostel.
- Air conditioning/heating in the communal area and all the rooms and dormitories.
- Daily cleaning of the rooms, dormitories and communal areas.
- The first set of towels (hand and bath) and bed linen (pillow, sheet and cover) is free for each guest, both in the private rooms and the dormitories. If you need to change your towels or bed linen for a fee, please ask one of our staff.
- USB port next to each bed to charge phones, both in private rooms and dormitories.
- Personal locker with key both in dormitories and private rooms.
Parking
Next to the hostel is a covered car park where it is possible to reserve a space for a city car or motorbike at a fee.
Spaces are limited and it is necessary to book them in advance.
Daily rates: € 10,00 from October to May ,€ 15,00 from June to September.
Transfer Service
On request, it is possible to organise a transfer to and from Alghero airport.
